Nora the Reindeer will be here from 1pm - 4pm, you’ll be able to purchase photos with her during her visit. We will host our 3rd annual SantaCon where participants are encouraged to dress like Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, reindeer or whatever fun and festive holiday creature/item you can imagine! We will also continue our annual shopping raffle where participants can support our local merchants for a chance to win prize packages. It’s a fun way to get your holiday shopping finished… OR STARTED!

2020

Burning of the Socks - June 13th

Celebrate the beginning of summer by attending our 5th Annual Burning of the Socks! Bring a chair and an old pair of winter socks so we can show Billy Joel exactly who started the fire! This is a fun and festive way to say goodbye to those nasty cold days and usher in the fun and frivolity of summer! So wash your tootsies, slap on a fresh layer of polish and shave that big toe for sandal season! Enjoy some tunes, rent a kayak and hang on the river or just hangout and enjoy a good time with good people!

Blessing of the Fleet - June 14th

Join us from land or sea to participate in this time honored tradition to protect the vessels that travel on our rivers and lake.

This historic event has been occurring in the Ashtabula Harbor for 69 years. An informal blessing on boaters in the 1930s began when a priest at Mother of Sorrows Church decided to give some local sailors a special blessing before they set sail for a season of shipping on the Great Lakes. In 1949 the blessing of the boats was added and in the 1970’s.

Beach Glass Festival - June 27th & 28th

No matter if you collect, create artwork or just admire beach glass and beach inspired designs, this is a must see event! Mark your calendars for the last full weekend of each June each year as we celebrate this annual gathering of artists, creators and collectors.

Wine & Walleye Festival - July 24th, 25th & 26th

Hosted by the Lift Bridge Community Association, a non-profit 501(c)3, along with coordination by the City of Ashtabula, the 12th Annual Wine and Walleye Festival will be located on Bridge Street in the heart of the Historic Ashtabula Harbor.  Held the last full weekend in July each year in hopes of fantastic weather for an incredible celebration. Each year we offer amazing entertainment including the largest fireworks display in Ashtabula County, live music, wine and craft beer tasting, gourmet food stations, food trucks, boutique shopping, the street is lined with vendors and MUCH MORE! The festival will also continue to offer the Wine Garden Tasting Tent providing some of the best local and regional wines from several wineries found throughout the Grand River Valley.
